How does Success Academy Operate?

Working Policy:

Enrollment of your learner  at Success Academy is subject to the acceptance of the conditions set out below. We will also be requesting some contact details which will be used exclusively by tutors and our administration office.

  1. Tutoring sessions are one-to-one or in pairs (two students at the same level) and last 1 hour.  In the run-up to exams or other periodic assessments, there may be group sessions (max. 6 students) which will require specific registration. These will last 1, 1.5 or 2 hours - to be decided according to the student's needs and can be adjusted at any time during the school year.

  2. Corrections of exams, essays, and exercises, as well as any extra tutoring sessions, will be charged at the same hourly rate as regular tutoring sessions.

  3. Tutoring sessions are held on a weekly basis - unless otherwise agreed. All sessions require attendance and punctuality.

  4. Once a session has been booked, the student or guardian has up to 24 hours before the session to cancel it without charge. In the case of an emergency where there is a need to cancel with less than 24 hours, you should contact us by phone or whatsapp and, depending on the situation, we will assess whether to charge or not.

  5. Missing two or more sessions a month can lead to losing your place.

  6. Students and guardians can choose to receive a reminder alert for each session via email and/or sms.

  7. Enrolling to Success Academy will automatically create a profile on Tutor Cruncher - our management platform - where you can view lesson bookings, billing information and make payments. Please log in and complete your profile.

  8. Our reception contact times are:  Monday to Friday 9h to 20h and Saturday from 9h to 13h. Any contacts received outside these times will be dealt the following working day.

  9. Success Academy is closed on public holidays and Sundays. All students wishing to have sessions on these days must make an appointment with the administration office – these sessions are dependent on the number of places available. The hourly rate for session on Sundays can be subject to a €5 increase.

  10. On the day before an exam, students who are sitting that exam have priority for booking tutoring sessions.

  11. During vacations, public holidays, study leaves and school breaks, the timetable established at the beginning of the school year may change.

  12. Payment for sessions can be made daily, weekly or monthly, when a record with the total number of sessions attended and the respective amount is sent to students or guardians. These shall be sent by email.

  13. Failure to pay may result in the loss of their place and prevent making future bookings.
